The gold-plated barrel of the Montblanc Edition 4810 Friedrich II The Great fountain pen is decorated by two rings embellished with a pattern of curves which are also gold-plated like the elegant clip. The 18 K gold nib carries an engraving of the royal monogram of "Fredericus Rex". An ingenious mechanism enables the pen to be screwed back into the barrel to protect it.
